This wonderful bronze-colored medal/coin is, to the best of my knowledge, exclusive to Great Ormond Street Hospital in London and the James Barrie House in Kirriemuir, Scotland.  It comes in a nice red/burgundy-colored box with satin and imitation-velvet lining. The front of the coin has the image of Peter Pan and the back of the coin says, "HELPING CHILDREN'S HOSPITALS AROUND THE WORLD" along the circumference of the coin. Then at the bottom of the coin it says "Peter Pan" with stars above the name.

The coin was purchased in Kirriemuir, Scotland during the 150th Birthday Celebration for the author of the book and the play, Peter Pan and Wendy, James. M. Barrie.

As you may or may not know, James M. Barrie gave the rights to Peter Pan to Great St. Ormond Street Hospital in 1929.  The hospital specializes in children's illnesses and the proceeds made from having the rights to Peter Pan have provided significant funding for the hospital over the years.  A portion of our original purchase of the medal helps to fund the hospital which does great work in the field of children's medicine.  So, what's not to like about this special coin!

If you are a Peter Pan fan, then this special medal/coin should definitely be added to your collection!

Please Note: The original display case that these coins come in (see the listing pic above) are, unfortunately, showing signs of slight oxidation along portions of the outer metal lining, back hinge and/or the inside felt.  The occurrence and placement is unique in every case.  The coins however are in great condition.  Please contact us directly if you would like a more detailed picture(s) before purchasing.
