This 59 minute DVD produced and directed from my friend, Jerry Cornell of Themeparkology, explores the history of Walt Disney’s Magical Kingdom, Disneyland, as it was in the sixties. New attractions assisted in expanding the park such as Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln, The Enchanted Tiki Room, Adventure Thru Inner Space and The People Mover, to name a few. The sixties also gave birth to a whole new land wonderfully named New Orleans Square, in which pirates invaded the Caribbean and a ghost moved into the Haunted Mansion.
Relive the fond memories of Disneyland with actual video footage and photos taken from that era. See the vintage town, the relic vehicles of Main Street, U.S.A., venture into a thatched jungle where a herd of elephants joyfully bathe in Adventureland, discover the fierce-looking pirates and the haunting ghosts in New Orleans Square, travel the rugged terrain of Frontierland as you encounter dark caverns and the flowing-watered Cascade Peak, aim for the skies on the back of Dumbo and get lost in Alice’s world in Fantasyland, and step into the future by riding the People Mover or by viewing the Carousel of Progress in Tomorrowland.
This is a great, historical DVD with a fantastic BONUS featuring Sam Towler's making of a miniature Mine Train diorama.
