Margaret Kerry Theater
It was during the 60's and I was raising my three kids while doing voice-over work. Then, I landed a special cartoon series called, The NEW THREE STOOGES Comics! It was different from other TV series. There were 'live' openings and closings with the animated story plunked in the middle. We did 279 episodes. I actually appear as a lady on the beach, a boy's mother at a barber shop, an executive at a hair salon - you get the idea. Just for fun we have edited the 'live' openings and closings for a look back to the 60s. I will be posting some of these over the coming weeks.
Of course, I also recorded dozens of character voices - along with Hal Smith (Otis - the town drunk on the Andy Griffith Show) and 'Curly' Joe DeRita, 'Larry' Larry Fine and 'Moe' Moe Howard. They were great to work with and the only trouble was - we'd get the giggles. So click-away on 'play' and enjoy the "ACTION" - N'yuk N'yuk N'yuk!
The party is on the move this time, as Kiltboy travels to Glendale for a memorable conversation with Margaret Kerry. Between 1951 and 1953, Margaret was an important part of Walt's movie making process as the reference model for Tinker Bell in Peter Pan. Margaret describes working with legendary Disney animator Marc Davis, puts to rest the myth that Marilyn Monroe modeled for the character, tells us about the new Tinker Bell movie and much more.
