This is a wonderful, historical, 8" x 10" black and white autographed composite photo of my friend, Virginia Davis, Walt Disney's first star in "Alice Comedies" way back in l923-25.  In this instance, you see a picture of Virginia back in the early 1920's and then what she looks like now.

Virginia has autographed the photo underneath  the photo of her today.  This is an original photo, not a copy and comes with a certificiate of authenticity.  Virginia is officially recognized by the Disney studios as Disney's First Star and in l998 was presented with a Disney Legend Award.  How special is this!

For your information, from 1923-25 Virginia starred for Walt Disney in the "Alice Comedies" which was the first time live action was combined with cartoon characters.  The films were directed by Walt Disney and filmed by his brother, Roy Disney.  Virginia starred in the first 13 of the "Alice Comedies".  In fact, the very first one was filmed in her mother's house with Walt Disney directing and actually appearing in part of the film.   These films have become an important part of history.
